Presenting: The newest Blue Rooster hatched over the winter
He has a bit of brownish shading here and there that I am not happy about, a bit dark and his comb isn't great (it nearly
sucks as a
matter of fact) but
otherwise he is very typey and
more full on his crest then many roosters I get. I'll be doing a
small group
breeding away from the main pen with a
splash of mine and a blue hen of another line to see if I can't pull
out a
few with lighter blue, less brownish shadings,
a better comb while keeping his other attributes. He also has the
perfect silkie temperament for a rooster.
